Politics is supposed to be a decision making tool but a whole lot of the time, it has resulted in bloody scenes. The latest from Malaysia have it that PAS candidate Mohd Salleh Man has defeated Barisan Nasional's Rohaizat Othman in the Permatang Pasir state seat by-election in Penang although the majority has decreased by more than 700 votes since the last general election. Can the Malaysian political landsape be said to be stable?
