Who uses 770 for media control center for house?

I find the nokia 770 works as a great media control center for my house... keep mp3s on it for music and added an external ir light and a bit of software to control all the other stuff (stereo, satellite receiver, tv, etc) in my living room.

I got mine yesterday and installed vnc viewer. I am controlling the winamp on my media-pc over vnc. Not the best solution but it works.

How did you manage the ir thing?
