How do you find out the IP address your Nokia 770 is using?

Somewhere I read that you go to control panel... but that's really no help. There isn't anything I can find in control panel that tells you your ip address.

The hard way to find out your ip address is to get root access and then enter the ifconfig command. ifconfig won't work unless I am root (maybe it is a path issue).

The easy way to find out your ip address is to install iphome. The first "problem" I had with iphome is that nothing happened after I installed it!

That is because it is NOT a program you run, but rather an applet for your "home". Click on "Home" then select applets and then put a check by iphome. You'll get a little box on your home and you can cycle through all the interfaces, their IP addresses and traffic counts.

Ok, the really easy way (but I like the iphome plugin better.

Click on connection manager.

click on title bar [I never get used to there being any useful options there, as there aren't in windows]

click on internet connection

click ip ip address

There is plenty of space for that information on the connection manager screen where it shows your connection status.
