Plazes Plazer

I saw the blog about Plazes being ported to the Nokia 770. I read the plazes.com website.

Before I found the FAQ none of the webpages gave even a hit of what Plazes was all about or what it would do for you. (Maybe, I am just stupid for not knowing what a Plazes is to begin with).

After reading the FAQ it became clear it would be someway to tell the world exactly where I was and possibly make contact with those near me (though a search showed no one listed in my country).

However, I am still unclear how or what it will really do for me. How I would hook up with people by using it.

I might be fun to play with (especially if there were users near by), but so far I haven't figured out enough about it to bother giving it a try.

Are there are Plazes Plazer users out there than can clue me in?

This is actually the same question I have been asking for quite sometime now after overhearing it from a group of people when I was taking the elevator in our office. They were sharing interesting stories about it. I heard you will be able to locate skome contacts' location directly on your laptop. According to them, this is a new way to get updated of your contacts whereabouts. You can also share with them your exact location and you can stay connected despite the distance. Are these all true?
